Industrial Metal Cone Wall Lamp with Long Adjustable Arm

A metal cone shade on a long arm is the classic industrial wall light, and the reason it endures is that it does one job very well: it reaches out over a chair, a bed or a desk and puts light exactly where it is needed, then swings back out of the way. The shade is metal throughout, which keeps the beam tight and directional rather than spilling into the rest of the room.

The arm extends 23.5 inches and 27 inches across its sections, giving an overall depth of about 45 inches from the wall, with a total height of 27.5 inches and a shade measuring 8.5 inches across. That reach is what separates it from a fixed sconce: it can serve as a reading lamp over an armchair without a floor stand, or as task lighting above a workbench. It is available in white, black or red.

It takes a single E26 or E27 bulb, which is not included, and accepts 110 to 120 V or 220 to 240 V supplies, so it suits both North American and European wiring. It is hardwired for indoor use and installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in line with local regulations, with the power off at the mains. Wipe the metal with a soft dry cloth. Take care with the extended arm in a walkway, where it can be knocked.
